Tandem Cambridge-Munich

The Cambridge-Munich tandem project is aimed at undergraduate students of German at University of Cambridge and undergraduate students of English at LMU Munich who would like to improve their conversation skills in an informal online setting with a native speaker.

The program consists of five sessions in total: one initial session where students are paired up and get to know each other, followed by three individually organised 1:1-sessions, and one evaluation session. The topics of the sessions are decided by the participants, with members proposing source materials (e.g., a short newspaper article or a video) for each week as a basis for the discussion. The exchange is suitable for students who have at least a B2 level in the CEFR.

The project has been supported by the Teaching Support Fund of the School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Cambridge.
